隨著數位應用發展、寬頻通訊建設、物聯網技術、以及各項智慧科技的研發突飛猛進，智慧產業的發展以及智慧應用的創新，已在世界各地如火如荼的展開，各國政府及產業，都希望順著這波智慧科技的發展機會，推動 跨產業、跨領域、跨國際的服務、產品、應用，以提高產業效率、提供民眾便捷的生活體驗、並開發龐大潛在商機，促進經濟成長。
為了發揮台灣及新加坡的產業優勢，拓展智慧科技在跨產業、跨領域、跨國際的合作與商機，經濟部國際貿易局、新加坡駐台北商務辦事處、台北市電腦公會、及國際商貿文化交流基金會於6/7共同主辦的「合作再升級 智慧造雙贏」臺新智慧產業合作論壇。
