As India continues to create Smart Cities, implement the Make in India policy, the national has opened itself to foreign investments. In 2015, India has become the global preferred market for FDI, stimulating investments in various industries, and promoting growth of India’s e-commerce, innovative solutions and IoT sectors. The IMF estimates that India’s economic growth could read 7.5% in the 2016-2017 financial year. The Taiwanese government has also viewed India as an important partner in the New Southbound Policy, eager to promote business partnerships between Taiwanese businesses and local Indian partners.
