With the goal of facilitating collaboration between Taiwan and Kerala’s startup ecosystems, the Taipei Computer Association (TCA) and FCCI held a webinar on Oct. 27, gathering accelerators and startups from both ecosystems to identify potential areas for collaboration.
From the Taiwan ecosystem, Startup Terrace analyzed the ecosystem and presented their soft landing program for foreign startups looking to expand into Taiwan; meanwhile, Taiwanese startups Mighty Net, BXB Electronics, and FUNTEK and showcased their services, including hardware prototyping service, video conferencing systems, and chatbot service. From Kerala, Kerala Startup Mission and TiE Kerala analyzed the ecosystem, while startups Inker Robotics, Rapidor, and Zappyhire presented their products and services, which are drones, business management software, and AI-enabled recruitment services.
In their opening remarks, Dr. Chen-yu Lee, CEO of the International Cooperation Center of TCA and Mr. Ajit A Moopan, President of TiE Kerala, both acknowledged that with the shared characteristics of highly educated workforces, strong funding and support from government and VCs, Taiwan and Kerala’s startup ecosystem are highly compatible.
